That said, I've never heard of a rake cap above $6 per pot.
That cap seems WAY high, but I've never played in a card room in New York before. I have been in contact with the guy who runs the room and he said the rake is 5% up to $15 per pot in a small NL game. I just moved to NYC recently and found a game.
